Mr. Arnold was my very favorite High School teacher. High standards for his students. When I went to college I took along my biology and chemistry notes from HS. Because of Mr. Arnold I found college level biology and chemistry so much easier than my fellow students. He was a wonderful teacher!
As well, he and Garry Jennings painted my folks home. My mother loved these guys and at the end of the workday, the 3 of them enjoyed a Manhatten and cheese and crackers.
Bless you Mr. Arnold. I will miss seeing you out in your yard when I plant flowers at the Orangeport Cemetary. Roz Dickinson Newton

Dear Irene and Family.
John and I were so fortunate to have Bob as our neighbor on Ingram Steet. He came to our rescue the first night we moved to our house across the street from them His favorite answer to any events was always "Sure. Why not". We shared lots of laughs and stories whether it was Golf Carting to see the Christmas Lights, tailgating at Polo Games, making it to Mystery Date Golf Adventures, or just having fun at the Ingram Street Gatherings.
Things will be different when we return to the Villages without Bob. We will miss him but he will not be forgotton.

My heart is sad for Bobs loved ones. Delivered his mail for many years and was always very pleasant and kind. Enjoyed seeing them in Myrtle beach and so glad he taught my sons. RIP my friend. Carol and John Genet.

I was one of Mr. Arnold‘s students at Roy Hart. Taking his high school chemistry class as a sophomore truly changed the trajectory of my life for the better. He offered the University of Wisconsin freshman College chemistry course the next school year, which I took. it helped me make a decision to become a chemistry major at SUNY Buffalo.
I would’ve found it very difficult to pay for a college education without Mr. Arnold‘s recommendation for a paid summer internship at FMC. Neither of my parents had a college degree and they did not have the funds to send me.
I worked at FMC full-time for two years after college. When the Middleport R&D facility moved to Princeton, I was accepted to Columbia for an MBA in marketing. I was a teaching assistant in the organic chemistry lab at Barnard College, which greatly helped with living costs. After graduation. I had a very satisfying career at Dupont Pharma, and later at Pfizer .
Both our daughters took AP chemistry in high school. Our older daughter got a PhD in biogeochemistry in 2020. She is now a post doc at Duke and would like to get an academic position. Mr. Arnolds influence led to two generations of women entering STEM Fields. I will forever be in Mr. Arnold‘s debt for what his teaching led to in my life. I sent a letter with some of this information in 2021. I hope that he shared it with his wife and children. My deepest condolences.
