Joan E. Kieffer 72, Pendleton, N.Y., died July 19, 2011 after a

courageous battle with leukemia. Survived by her beloved husband of

50 years, James Kieffer Sr., loving mother of Kathy (Dan) Hartwig,

James Jr. (Andrea) Kieffer, Jeff (Beth) Kieffer, and Shelly (Paul)

DiGiacomo. Cherished grandmother of Krista, Marc, and Brad Hartwig,

Kyle, Alex, and Abbey Kieffer, Julianna and Jenelle Kieffer, and

Dominic and Daniella DiGiacomo. Dear sister of Margaret (Joe) Walter

and Carol (Dick) Abercrombie, daughter in-law of Esther Kieffer and

beloved sister-in-law Sally (Mike)

Suchyna. Also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends. The

family will be present to receive friends and family at Prudden and

Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genessee Street, Lockport, NY on Thursday July

21st (7-9pm) and Friday July 22nd (3-7pm). A Mass of Christian Burial will be

celebrated at Good Shepherd Church, 5442 North Tonawanda Creek Rd., North

Tonawanda NY on Saturday July 23rd 11am. In Lieu of flowers, memorials to

Roswell Park Cancer Institute �" Leukemia, would be appreciated by the family.
