Obituary of James R. Hutchison

James "Jim" R. Hutchison, 93, of Lockport, NY, passed away on May 9, 2024. Born on January 26, 1931, in Albion, N.Y. He was a graduate of Medina High School, Class of 1948.  Jim valued education, and lifelong learning. His dedication to his work earning him respect and admiration from all who knew him.  Jim proudly served in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant from 1948 to 1952, with deployments to occupied Germany in support of the Korean Conflict. After his military service, he pursued a career as Superintendent of Quality Control for Harrison Radiator until his retirement in 1987.

Jim was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He is survived by Sylvia, his loving wife of 70 years, and children Daniel (Michele), James (Sandra), Mark (Joan), Pamela Kelkenberg, Michael (Susan), and Thomas. Jim was the proud grandfather of 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Helen (Sue) Schuman of Florida.

Jim's legacy of service, dedication and love for his family, will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
