Obituary of Howard S. Luff

Howard S. Luff passed away May 4, 2024. He was born on May 19, 1936 in Lockport, NY a son of Norman and Marie (Searles) Luff. Howard was a shop teacher in the Starpoint School District and was very active in the Trinity Lutheran Church. He proudly served in the Army National Guard for over 20 years retiring as a Lt. Col. Howie, as he was affectionately known, enjoyed woodworking. He built the addition and garage to his home. He looked forward to his trips to Canada to go fishing but most of all he loved spending time with family and friends.

Howard is survived by his wife Shirley (Bisher) Luff; sister-in-law Judy Broas; nieces and nephews Deborah and Michael Castle, Kim Hurd, Robert and Patricia Luff, Richard Luff, Mary Kathryn Luff, Tracy and Robert Forquer. He was predeceased by his brother William R. Luff.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday May 9, 2024 from 4-7PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home 242 Genesee Street Lockport where a funeral service will be held Friday May 10, 2024 at 10 AM. Interment in North Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Trinity Lutheran Church or St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital would be appreciated. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
