Eleanor Helen (nee Schielke) Bixler passed away July 17, 2011 at Odd Fellow & Rebekah Health Care Facility she would have been 92 in September. She was predeceased by her husband Clarence James Bixler. Daughter of Augusta and George Schielke, Eleanor helped out in the family owned business, Bixler Motor Sales for many years. She is survived by her three sons David (Toreen) Bixler, Allen Bixler both of Lockport and Dan (Linda) Bixler of Newfane; grandchildren James Bixler of Naples, FL, Kevin (Savannah) Bixler of Lockport and Douglas (Cassandra) Bixler of Watertown; four great grandchildren Rozlyn, Leann, Kevin Jr. and Benjamin; sister Susan Pearson; sister-in-law Frances Schielke; daughter-in-law Ann Bixler; also several nieces, nephews, step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Eleanor was predeceased by her brothers Arthur, Robert and Ozwald Schielke; step-children Mary Chenez, Alice Schielke, William Bixler and Barbara Custer;
Eleanor (AKA Nelder or Mrs. B) had many special talents, she was an avid reader, wonderful seamstress, fabulous cook and baker. She adored her great grandchildren since they always put a smile on her face. Eleanor looked forward to spring since she always had a vegetable garden and a beautiful garden.
Realtives and Friends may call Wednesday 3-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 AM.
