Mary Elizabeth (Gaffney) Gangi peacefully passed away on April 16, 2024. Born on June 21, 1942, in Utica, NY, she was the daughter of John E. and Elizabeth (Smith) Gaffney.

Mary worked as a clerk at a local grocery store in Lockport for several years and enjoyed interacting with customers. She was a very active member of St. John the Baptist RC Church as a eucharistic minister, member of the former folk choir, the altar rosary society, along with other committees.

Mary was predeceased by husband Charles Anthony Gangi, son Michael Charles Gangi and grandson Joseph Gangi. Mary is survived by daughter Anita Marie (Robert) Frey and son Christopher John Gangi, and four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at noon on June 1, 2024, at St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport, NY. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
