Obituary of M. Scott Ziegler
M. Scott Ziegler passed away on Thursday January 4, 2024 at Buffalo General Medical Center. Born in Syracuse, NY on November 20, 1945, he was the son of the late Burwell and Edith Yorden Ziegler. Scott served in the US Army from 1966 to 1970. He resided in Syracuse until he went on to work at HSBC in Buffalo in 1986 until his retirement. He was a member of the Southside Businessmen and the American Legion. He remained a die hard Syracuse fan until his final breath.
He is survived by his wife Linda A. (nee Carley) Ziegler; father of Mathew Scott (Erin) Ziegler, Jeffrey Mark (Nicole) Ziegler and Shelly Marie Lin Green. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Mathew Cole Ziegler (14), Carley Rose Green (14), Jaxson Parrish Ziegler (12), Alexia Jo Green (11) and Skylar Marie Green (8).
There will be no prior visitation. A graveside service will be held on January 27th at 12 noon at Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton, with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers please send memorials to Shriners Hospital in Scott’s name.
