Obituary of Albert Douglas

Albert C. Douglas passed away June 29, 2011 unexpectedly. Born December 20, 1931 in Huntington, WV he was the son of Charles and Elsie (nee Wyand) Douglas. Albert served in the Marine Corp from 1949 to 1955 and reenlisted from 1952 to 1958. While in service he earned Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Medal, the Presidential Unit Citation and the Bronze Star in 1955. Albert worked as a forklift operator at Harrison Radiator for 30 years retiring in 1994. He enjoyed fishing. Albert was predeceased by his wife Marie (nee Darlow) Douglas on June 13, 2011.
Albert is survived by his children Dusty (Sarah) Douglas of Santiago, Chile, Lisa (James) King of Lockport and Heather (Patrick) Nugent of Wilson; grandfather of Daniel Nugent, Casey and Cody King; brother of nine deceased brothers and sister; also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Monday 4-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 AM in Faith Tabernacle Church, 5676 Beattie Ave., Lockport. Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Park. Visit www.pruddenandkandt.com.
