Obituary of Janet L. Chunco
Janet L. Chunco passed away peacefully December 23, 2023 in Niagara Hospice House after a long illness. She was born on November 15, 1948 in Lockport, NY, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Hazel (Retzlaff) Cowper. Janet was a Lockport Senior High graduate of 1966 and worked for many years as a hairdresser before opening her own coffee shop, Simply Coffee, at the Lakeview Village Shops at Olcott Beach in the early 1990's. She enjoyed time with family and her monthly luncheon dates with her longtime girlfriends from high school.
Janet was predeceased by her husband Andrew Chunco in 2019. She is survived by her children Robb (Kelly) Chunco, Kyle (Kyoko) Chunco, Molly (Paul) Vercillo; her three grandchildren Mila, Ethan, and Max Chunco; her sister Patricia Brace; and her dear friend, Jackie Nemi.
