Obituary of Kent Crea
Kent J. Crea, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away December 22, 2023 in Elderwood at Lockport. Bom June 4, 1930 in New Orleans, LA, he was the son of Julian and Marjorie (Kent) Saenger. Kent graduated from Kemper Military School in Missouri in 1949, and served proudly in the US Air Force as a 1st Lt. from 1954 to 1962. He met the love of his life Joan at a church picnic. He proposed marriage five days later! They enjoyed their military life at the Niagara Falls Air Base during their early years together. He worked for Harrison Radiator Division GM in Lockport for just shy of 30 years retiring in the 1991. Kent was a life-long member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church.. Kent and Joan traveled throughout the United States and to several European Countries. Joan predeceased him June 9, 2022 after 64 years of marriage.
Kent is survived by three wonderful children: Christopher (Irene) Crea, Barry (Aurora) Crea, and Katherine (Barry) Kibbe. He also dearly loved his grandchildren Ann Kibbe, Charles (Bonnie) Kibbe, Elizabeth (Michael Lambert) Crea, Samuel Crea, Angela (Mason) Hull, Megan (Nick) Boudreau, Caroline Crea, and Daniel (Jamie) Crea. Also his beautiful great grand-daughters Selah and Talihah Kibbe, and Audrey Lynn Crea.
