Obituary of Edith A. Moran

Edith M. Moran passed away December 7, 2023 in Lockport Memorial Hospital a Campus of Mount St. Mary’s Hospital.  Born June 17, 1938 in Lockport she was the daughter of Linus J. and Edith (Kenney) McDonough.  Edith graduated for Buffalo State College with a degree in education and taught for the Lockport City School District.  She enjoyed playing bridge, traveling, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.  Edith was predeceased by her husband J. Michael Moran on February 8, 2022.

Edith is survived by her two daughters Margaret (Michael) Stein and Catherine (Robert) Stover; grandchildren Nicholas, Brandon, and Connor; siblings Thomas McDonough and Anne Clancy; also several nieces and nephews.  Besides her husband Edith was also predeceased by her granddaughter Casey Jane Stover and siblings Robert, Lawrence, John, Donald, Gerald, and Paul McDonough, and Mary McCarthy.

Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, Dec. 12th from 4-7 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Dec. 13th at 10 AM at St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport.  Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations to Summit Center, 150 Stahl Rd., Getzville, NY 14068 would be appreciated.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
