George R. Bootes Obituary

George R. Bootes passed away November 30, 2023 in Niagara Hospice House.  Born October 19, 1957 in Lockport he was the son of the late Charles and Helen (Wolters) Bootes, Sr.  George worked for the Lockport Housing Authority in the Maintenance Department.  He enjoyed NASCAR, football, and driving his golf cart all over Lockport.


George is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lorrey (Birdsall) Bootes; children Jennifer (Jim) Braddell, Eric (Amanda) Bootes, Daniel (Sara) Bootes and Brandon Bootes; grandchildren Tyler, Carter, Hunter, Sophie, Olivia, Lincoln, Giana, Harper, Aidan, Maddie, and Scarlett; siblings Deborah Bootes, Kathleen (Charles) Gabrielli, Tammy Weir, Jacqueline (Malcolm) Robertson, and late Charles Jr. and Kevin Bootes; also mother-in-law Joanne Birdsall, several sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and several dear friends at the Lockport Housing Authority.


Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, Dec. 5th from 4-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  Donations to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.    Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
