Obituary of Phyllis Pasceri
Phyllis M. Pasceri passed away October 28, 2023 at home, under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born January 12, 1940 in Lockport, she was the daughter of Anselm and Edna Van Dusen. Phyllis attended St. Joseph Academy and DeSales, she was part of the first graduating class that included women. She went on to receive her degree in Washington D.C at Catholic University. She served as a nun for 13 years with the Sisters of St. Mary Namur, her name being Sister Paul Marie. She was a teacher in the RoyHart School District and Lockport Catholic Schools. Phyllis then worked for the Lockport Public Library where she was a clerk.
Phyllis was an avid reader, she spent time as a literacy volunteer, she volunteered at the Lockport Food Pantry and other local charities. She most enjoyed spending her time with her family and friends. She especially loved her grandchildren and loved being their nana.
Phyllis is survived by her loving husband Anthony J. Pasceri soon to celebrate their 51st wedding anniversary, sons Joseph (Nicole) and Anthony Pasceri, step-children Gina (Larry Bouchard) and Nicholas (Richelle) Pasceri; grandchildren Alexander and Jacob Bouchard, Luca, Avery, Cooper, Gianna and Ava Pasceri; siblings Eugene (Joy) Rey , Arlene (Rob) Schrader, Mary Jane Hain, and the late Dennis Rey (Geri); also many nieces and nephews.
