Trish was a great neighbor. I will always remember how friendly she was from the very first day we moved into the development. She was ready to share her knowledge of Lockport as we navigated this area. Her love of flowers was obvious from the beautiful landscaping of her family home. It is a bright spot in my morning to open my frontdoor and see it! Our deepest sympathy.

What can I say about my beloved cousin Trisha. She was the oldest of those Hawkes cousins so she had the “advantage” of having her name rattled off first by grandma Bunny whenever she was trying to call one of us kids. I can still picture her yelling out “Trisha, Carrie, Erin, whatever your name is…get over here!” Being the oldest, we looked to Trisha to lead the way, whether it was helping us find that perfect marshmallow stick, or keeping us from going over the side of Uncle John’s boat she was there to guide us. There was a lot of responsibility on her shoulders…with the freedom we enjoyed in the woods there was plenty of things to get in trouble for, but Trisha managed to show us all how to toe that line between mischief and calamity. She used her sharp and cleaver wit to keep us in line. We’d do just about anything to avoid being called out by Trisha for less than intelligent behavior while foraging for berries or pilfering the apple orchard.
As we got older, she continued to find young minds to help shape and mold into the wonderful extended Hawkes family. I will forever cherish how wonderful Trisha was with my two girls. My kids love going to the cottage and Trisha played an important part in building that love in them.
There are so many things that will remind me of my loving cousin Trisha; I think whenever I hear people laughing and just enjoying life out on the decks or down by the lake…that’s when I’ll think of her. After all, she brought us a lot of laughs. Boy oh boy, the fun being had in heaven right now must be quite sensational. Erin, Aunt Kathy, and Bill all my love to you each. Look out Grandma Bunny…here comes trouble.
Love, David Patrick

I met Trisha many years ago through her sister Erin. Trisha was always our designated driver when we came home from school for a visit. She would offer to take us to Clifton Hill to our favorite “watering hole”, and of course stop at Perkins on our way home to make sure we got something good to eat! She has left us way too soon. Don’t worry Trisha I still won’t tell anyone about the donuts that may or may not have happened in the Perkins parking lot.
You will be missed.
Robyn
