Obituary of June Groff

June E. Groff passed away June 21, 2011 in Briody Health Care Facility. Born July 24, 1913 in Ulster, PA she was the daughter of Frank C. and Florence (nee Heidig) McCauley. June was a registered nurse and worked at Buffalo General Hospital and Lockport Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church where June belonged to the Altar &amp; Rosary Society and Ladies of Charity. She volunteered at the Niagara County Health Camp, DeWitt Clinton Elementary School as an aide and at Lockport Memorial Hospital. June was predeceased by her husband C. Clarence "Bud" Groff in October 1985. June is survived by her children Marcia (Paul) Wolfe of Hammondsport, NY, Brenda (Gary) Randolph of Gasport, R. Edward (Lucia) Groff and Thomas G. Groff both of Lockport; grandmother of thirteen, great grandmother of twenty-two and great-great grandmother of two; sister of the late Mildred Benson, Warren P. McCauley, Hugh McCauley and Frank B. McCauley; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Sunday 3-8 PM at Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday at 11 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport.
