Obituary of Norman R. Wolcott, III
Norman R. Wolcott, III passed away September 5, 2023 in Buffalo General Medical center. Born April 8, 1947 in Bradford, PA he was the son of Norman R. and Betty (Bowery) Wolcott, Jr. Norman graduated from Grove City College with a Bachelors degree in Economics in 1969 and worked for Harrison Radiator/Delphi from 1969 to 2013. While there he was an Inspection Supervisor, Reliability Engineer, Salaried Personnel Coordinator of Student and Apprentice, Training and EEO Coordinator, Hourly Personnel in Labor Relations, General Manager Inspection and Manufacturing, and retired as a Quality Manager. Norman was an active member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church where he served on many committee’s, Lockport Salvation Army Advisory Board, Past Chairman of the SPCA Committee, Chairman of Board of Trustees Life Member National Knife Collectors of America, and the NRA. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, hunting, boating, camping, fishing, collecting guns, lighters, knives, lapel buttons, and antiques.
Norman is survived by his son, Scott A. Wolcott; grandchildren Scott A. (Paige) Wolcott, Jr. and Bethany R. (Brad) Mandaville; great grandchildren Madilyn K. and Marley L. Waterbury, Amelia Wolcott and Penelope Mandaville; twin brother Nordal J. (Linda) Wolcott; sister Nancy J. (Steve) Vreeland; also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his former wife, Judith L. (Chapman) Wolcott on February 1, 2020.
