Mary E. Koenig Obituary

Mary E. Koenig passed away August 30, 2023.  Born February 24, 1949 in Lockport NY.  She is a member of St. Mary’s Church, Swormville.  Mary was a Licensed Practical Nurse in her younger years, and enjoyed attending craft shows and quilting.  She was the "miraculous songbird" to her loving husband, and loved spreading joy and happiness to everyone!


Mary is predeceased by her father John R. Prendergast and survived by her mother Elizabeth (Meyers) Prendergast; husband Ernest “Ernie” Koenig; children Erich (Heather) Koenig, Christine (Jim) Hanlon, and Marianne (Eric Reinecke) Koenig; special grandson Zachariah Webster and also dear grandchildren Olivia, Molly, James, Mei Li, and Jeremiah; siblings Patricia (late Michael) George, John (Jillian) Prendergast, Timothy (Jeanne) Prendergast, Steven (Sandy) Prendergast, Eileen (Timothy) Kozyra, Daniel (Mari) Prendergast, and Paul Prendergast; also several nieces and nephews.


Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass Friday, September 8th at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Church (the new church) located at 8049 Stahley Rd., Swormville. Luncheon to follow at noon at Santora's located at 7800 Transit Rd, Williamsville.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
