Obituary of Donald J Kendrick
Kendrick-Donald J., Of Pendleton, N.Y. passed away at the age of 91. Donald was born in Amherst, N.Y. to the late Jesse and Caroline (nee Schlaetzer) Kendrick. Donald met Marie (nee Kucharczyk) and married for 56 years before she passed away in 2009. He was a loving father to Thomas, Caroline and the late James and Ronald Kendrick. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Brandie Naish and T.J. Kendrick and eight great grandchildren.
Donald attended Amherst High School in Snyder N.Y. He served in the H&S Company 174th Armed infantry battalion New York National Guard from 1949 to 1958.
From 1950 to 1996, Donald worked at Dunlop Tire & Rubber in Tonawanda, N.Y. where he spent time working in the curing department. He was a loyal employee who enjoyed his coworkers.
His hobby interests included hunting and archery. Ballroom dancing was his passion. Over the last 12 years and even last fall he was seen dancing with his partner at local venues and Canada.
Donald will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A private ceremony will be held at Good Shepherd Church cemetery in Pendleton, N.Y.
