STEWARD- Dorothy May, Pendleton, Beloved Matriarch of the Steward family, born to Warner and Dora Steward in Cherry Creek, NY on Feb.16, 1925, Dorothy went on to her heavenly home at age 98 on August 1st 2023, while in the presence of her loving family. Dorothy worked for many years as a nurse, retiring from Buffalo General Hospital as the Assistant Dean of Nursing. She enjoyed sewing and doll making and was an active member of Pendleton Center United Methodist Church. She is survived by her dearest sisters Olive Burbidge and Mary Wolford and many nieces and nephews and their families. She is predeceased by her brothers Richard, Arthur, Wallace, Carl, Allan and Donald Steward, and sisters Ida Strong, Frances Setter, Loretta Schneller, and Rose Gossett. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Sept. 16th at 11 AM in Pendleton United Methodist Church, 6864 Campbell Blvd., Pendleton.
