Sam and I went to school together. He was the class clown, always laughing and never took himself too seriously. He had such a positive happy demeanor. Such a sweetheart. I remember at our HS graduation at the Kenan Center, he fell asleep during the ceremony. He always made me laugh and I am deeply saddened at his loss. May his soul rest in eternal peace and May his family find solace and peace in close friends and family. You will be missed, Sam.

My husband Adam Powers and I purchased our first home in Lockport from Sam. We met him as we did our walkthrough of the house and instantly started talking. I was 22 at the time and he reminisced about when he had first bought the house when he was young and started out. He helped us in many ways as we adjusted and stayed a friend after the sale of our very first home. We are forever thankful for Sam’s friendship. He was truly a wonderful man.

Sam, You are a brother to me. Words can not describe how honored I am to call you friend. After all these years, even with the distance, we could always talk to each other like a day hadn't passed since the last time we talked, regardless if its been a month or just days.
