Obituary of Diane Wilson Abbring

Diane Marie Wilson Goldstein O’Brien Abbring, age 69, passed away on July 1, 2023, after a long illness.  Diane was born on June 6, 1954, in Lockport, New York, the daughter of the late Frederick T. Wilson and the late Joan Perry Wilson.  Diane had one son, the late William David Goldstein, of Broward County, Florida.  Diane graduated from Groveton High School in Fairfax County, Virginia, in 1972.  She worked as a budget analyst for many years following graduation.  Diane’s best friend in the whole world was Marlene Miller Garlick.  Diane and Marlene attended their 50^th high school reunion together last October.  Marlene was like a sister to Diane.

Diane is survived by her sister, Cheryl Wilson; her brother Mark Wilson and wife Lora; her sister Julie Haller and husband Rob; and her brother Christopher Wilson and wife Kristin; her nieces and nephews: Harlin Sutton, Brian Wilson, Emma Wilson, Cadence Groves, Logan Haller, Gregory Wilson, and Nathan Wilson.

Diane will be missed by her friends and family members.

Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service Tuesday, August 1^st at 1 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  Inurnment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family wishes you to plant a tree in Diane’s memory.
