Obituary of Dorothy J. Beaton
Dorothy J. Beaton passed away peacefully on July 17, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Born February 3, 1934, in Tonawanda, NY she was the daughter of Edward and Bessie (nee Burns) Rupp.
Dorothy worked for the Permanent Savings Bank as Vice President of the Insurance Department. She was active in the Keenagers and the Red Hat Ladies.
Predeceased by her husband Thomas Beaton and son Robert. Also predeceased by her sister Janet (Francis) Fox, brother Richard (late Louise) Rupp. Survived by her brother Edward (late Dorothy) Rupp and children Susan Manhardt, John (Denise) Beaton, Grandchildren Charles Manhardt, Kristin Manhardt, Scott Beaton, Alyssa (Matthew) Smyczynski and Christopher Beaton. Also survived by her Great Grandchildren Nora and Graham Smyczynski.
Relatives and friends may call on Monday July 24, 2023 from 3-7 p.m. at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, NY. Funeral Services will be held at Prudden & Kandt Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at North Ridge Ceremony. Visit pruddenandkandt.com
