Betty Allore Obituary

Betty J. Allore passed away peacefully June 10, 2011 in Medina Memorial Hospital Skilled Care Nursing Home in the loving hands of her family. Born March 23, 1929 in Lockport she was the daughter of the late Ruby Smith Brown. Betty was a graduate of Lockport High School and worked for Robert Miller where she cleaned. She enjoyed gardening, baking, painting, reading, snowmobiling, working on ceramics, writing poetry and especially her faith and spending time with her family. Betty was predeceased by her husband Edward E. Allore in 1993.


Betty is survived by her children Coleen (Nicolas) Cappola of South Carolina, Dean (Millie) Allore of Lockport, Dale (Sherry) Allore of Wolcottsville, Brenda (Mark) Zimmerman of Gasport and Mike Allore of Lockport; grandmother of Jonathan Cappola, Jillian Cappola, Markie Zimmerman, Mitch Zimmerman, Melissa Waterbury, Christopher Allore, Steven Allore and Kenneth Allore; great grandmother of twelve; sister of Jesamine Kreuzburg and the late Violet Whitehead, Paul Brown and Billy Brown; also survived by several nieces and nephews.


Relatives and friends may call Tuesday 4-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 AM in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 5 Saxton St., Lockport. Private interment will be in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery. Private interment will be in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery.
