Obituary of Richard Eugene Whitesell
Richard E. Whitesell passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Niagara Hospice House. Born in Smicksburg, PA on March 20, 1933, he was the son of the late Lester and Villa Gaston Whitesell. Richard served in the US Army from 1953 until 1955 in the Korean War stationed at the 39th Parallel. He retired from Harrison Radiator (Lockport) after 30+ years in Skilled Trades, He was a Past Commander of B.Leo Dolan Post 410, American Legion.
Richard is survived by his children Lawrence (Vivian) Whitesell and Julia (David) Henke, his grand- daughters Ashley (Kevin) Hess and Andraya (Casey) Earle; and two great-grandchildren Carter Cummings and Austyn Earle. He was the brother of the late Paul Whitesell, Mary McCormick, Peg Gardner and Louise Zerbe. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Thursday, June 15, between the hours of 5 pm and 7 pm.
