Obituary of Mary R. Fricke
Mary R. Fricke passed away June 7, 2023 in Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Facility in Springville, NY. She was born December 8, 1938 in Lockport she was the daughter of Raymond and Amelia (Puff) Salmons. She graduated Sister’s of Charity Hospital in Buffalo, NY as an RN, later entering the US Army as an officer where she served in Hawaii as a military RN. Mary worked for the Lockport City School District where she was a school nurse. She was a devoted catholic serving as a Eucharistic Minister, taught church school, and also was a substitute lunch monitor.
Mary is survived by her children Thomas (Marianne) Fricke and Tammi (Lou) Caltagirone; grandchildren Kailee, Benjamin, Matthew, and Nathan; great grandchildren Hope and Olivia; sisters Diane (Richard) Rydelek and the late Eugenia (Robert) Keleher.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Thursday June 15th at 12 PM in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
