Wayne A. VanBuren passed away January 22, 2011 in California. Born July 4, 1929 in Lockport he was the son of the late Charles and Della (nee Freeman) VanBuren. Wayne served in the Army from 1951 to 1953 earning the Army of OCC Medal Germany. He worked for 30 years for Hughes Aircraft where her was a draftsman. Wayne is survived by his son Jon VanBuren, two grandchildren Katherine and Michael and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Wayne was also predeceased by his three brothers Roy, Floyd and Lyle VanBuren.
Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service on Tuesday at 11 AM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Interment will be in Royalton Union Cemetery. Visit www.pruddenandkandt.com.
