Florence Welch Obituary

Florence L. Welch passed away May 29, 2011 under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born Ocrober 25, 1918 in Buffalo she was the daughter of Edward and Lillian (Parker) Baumeister. Florence enjoyed all sports and traveled with several baseball teams. She was an avid reader, enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and especially enjoyed going to their cottage in Wilson where she spent her summers with family and friends. Florence was predeceased by her husband James Welch in 1981 and also by her three sons Thomas, Robert and James Welch. She is survived by her two grandsons Scott (Diana) Welch of Maryland and Michael (Alexandra) Welch of Idaho; great grandmother of Thomas, Alexandra, D.J., Xander Welch and Christopher Connor; sister of Frank Baumeister; mother-in-law of Karen Welch of Wilson; aunt of Ed Baumeister of East Aurora and Elaine Baumeister Mendel of West Seneca.


Relatives and friends may call Friday 5-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 AM. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery. Donations Niagara Hospice would be appreciated. Visit www.pruddenandkandt.com.

Services

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 AM in the funeral home.
