Obituary of Wendy D. Herman

Wendy Herman passed away quietly at home on April 6, 2023.  Born December 3, 1961 in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of Bernice (Luke) Sturak and the late George Sturak.  Wendy was employed by J.W Hunt & Associates in Buffalo as a stenographer. She previously worked at Tops Market and the City of Lockport Treasury Department. Wendy was a charter member of Barge Canal Optimist Club and a member of the Olcott Yacht Club.

Wendy will be sadly missed by her husband and partner in life Lucas Herman and her children, Austin and Grace Herman; siblings Cheryl (Tim) Dorr, Bill (Vickie) Sturak, and Patti Jo Sturak; Uncle Ronald Luke; In-laws Claudia (William) Rowe; Fred (Ann) Herman; Paula (Ken) Adams, and Sheryl (Jeff) Bates.  Wendy leaves behind several nieces and nephews as well as friends she held close to her heart.   

Wendy had a zest for life; she celebrated with friends and family at home, on the lake, and in her travels.  With a smile, a drink in hand, and a chance to dance, her spirit would take flight.  She raised her children to be fearless and independent, loving and kind; they share that spirit. Wendy also loved to cook, shop, read, and sail but she is now sailing on a journey to shores that we cannot see. We trust that she is free and is floating peacefully on her next adventure.
