Obituary of Orval A. Harris
Orval A. Harris passed away March 29, 2023 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born May 9, 1935 in Barnesboro, PA he was the son of Henry and Isabelle (Rowles) Harris. Orval worked for H.F. Darling Construction in Williamsville for 36 years as a supervisor. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, woodworking, and loved playing corn hole. He loved spending time with friends and family, and was always willing to help anyone in need. Orval was predeceased by his wife Lynda (Shepherd) Harris in 2006.
Orval is survived by his children Russell (Dawn) Harris, David (late Terri) Harris, Jeffrey Harris, Todd (Kathy) Harris, Adam (Michele) Harris, and Tammy Metzger; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; siblings John “Jack” Harris, Wanetta (late Edgard) Leveille, Georgianna (David) Booth, and Sandra Harriman; also several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife Orval is also predeceased by children Richard O. Harris and Sandra D. Harris, siblings Vaughn “Sam” Harris, Vandetta “Detsie” (late Carson) Miles, Nellie Harris, William Harris, Harold Harris, William “Billy” Harris, Joseph Harris, Donna Garrow, Roxie Hill, and Gary Harris.
Relatives and friends may call Sunday, April 2nd from 1-5 PM and Monday, April 3rd from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 4th at 10 AM at Pendleton Center United Methodist Church, 6864 Campbell Blvd., North Tonawanda, NY 14120.
