My mom and Mrs. Genewich were born on the same day. They were roommates. Down the road, I worked for Dr. Genewich doing EKGs for several years and ..down the road became a nurse at Lockport Hospital. He was my mentor along with Dr. Carosella and Dr. Wilson..amazing men..Mrs. Genewich..amazing lady..I called her every day on 10/1 ..her birthday even after my mom passed..I missed last year..just looked her up and found that she had passed..in my heart, I knew it..drove by their house today which prompted me to look her up..the world was blessed to have her here for as long as it was..amazing lady..I have such stories of him..he also was incredible..always hummed 76 trombones as he came down the hall to 2N. To the children and grandchildren I wish you peace..I hope you find JOY remembering them both as I do..

Dear Genewich Family,
Please accept my deepest condolences over the loss of your mother. I so fondly remember your Dad, Joe. He and my late husband Norb Szymula share many a joke and story over the years. Norb considered Joe a true mentor as he set up his practice in Lockport. Two regular guys more interested in family and caring for their patients, than hospital politics. We enjoyed hearing about your camp in Maine and socializing at events around town. You are so lucky to have had you lovely mother with you so long.
Sincerely, Annette Szymula

Sorry to read this as your mother was one of my wife's favorite Lockportians. She was always a gracious person in the medical community gatherings. There will be a liturgical remorance here in Durham. Jim and Yun Suk(Catherine) Alrutz
