Obituary of Edward F. Sibolski
Edward Francis Sibolski passed away on Sunday March 12, 2023 under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Lockport on January 19, 1933, he was the son of the late William and Anna Katherine (Fura) Sibolski. Edward served in the US Army from 1953-1955, during the Korean War, achieving the rank of Corporal. He was stationed in Regensburg, Germany where he guarded the Czech/German Border. He retired from Harrison Radiator Division of General Motors after 35 years, retiring in 1999.
Edward enjoyed large and small game hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He was a 38 year season ticket holder for the Buffalo Sabres and loved watching the Bills and all sports. He enjoyed working in his garden and yard, and especially spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Edward was the husband of the late Janet Ethel (Taylor) Sibolski, who passed away on December 5, 2018; he is survived by his children Michael Sibolski, Douglas (Renee) Sibolski and Michele Meli. Grandfather of Eric Sibolski, Brent Sibolski, Lauren Sibolski, Brandon Sturak and William Sturak; great grandfather to Peyton Sibolski, Kade Kane and another baby girl on the way. Brother of Robert (late Gloria) White, James (late Cathie) White and the late William (late Berta “Pat”) Sibolski, late Mary Ruth “Sis” (late Gerald) Gilbert and late Jane ( late Bernard) Burke. He is also predeceased by his step father George White. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
There will be no prior visitation. Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials to Niagara Hospice would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences at www.pruddenandkandt.com.
