John Ross Runk passed away May 18, 2011 in Millard Fillmore Hospital. Born September 6, 1921 in Philipsburg, PA, he was the son of Raymond R. and Virginia G. (Harkless) Runk. John served in the Army Air Corp from 1942 to 1946 where he later transferred to the Air Force, retiring as Master Sergeant in 1980 after 30 years where he was an Inspector NDI Lab Technician.
John was predeceased by his son, John Roger Runk on January 19, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Verna (Wiley) Runk and daughter, Cheryl Runk, both of Pendleton.
