Obituary of Betty E. Haag
Betty E. Haag entered into rest on March 3rd 2023 surrounded by family. Born May 23 1935 (Buffalo NY), she is survived by 3 sons Ronne (Michele), Richard, & Robert (Patricia)Haag as well as 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and brother Donald (Hilde) Berdine. Betty was loved by her family, always active in her children’s lives from swimming, riding bikes, cooking, and lending advice. She was the busiest, most independent, and "youngest" retiree around after working at AFPS from 1986-2000. She enrolled in college earning her Associates Degree in Business at age 65 and in her 70's she took up kayaking! She spearheaded the building of the dog park in Wilson, NY earning her a Citizen of the Year award. She loved her dogs and would be seen walking her dog daily around Wilson. She may have taken her last breath here on earth, but her legacy will live on through her family. Graveside gathering Friday March 10th at 3pm at the Evangelical Protestant Cemetery, 7139 Bear Ridge Rd. Pendleton, NY 14120. Immediately following, friends and family are welcomed to Santoras restaurant at 7800 Transit Road in Williamsville. In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA and Hospice would be appreciated.
