Shirley M Gunby entered into rest on Friday May 20, 2011 at Degraff Memorial Hospital. Born August 27, 1924 in Lockport, she was the daughter of James and Bertha Slater. Shirley is predeceased by her husband Robert E. Gunby. Shirley is retired from General Motors where she worked on the line for 15 years. She enjoyed crafts, bingo, and playing Euchre. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. Shirley is survived by her daughters Roberta S (John) Manna, and Diane (late Roy) Cunningham; grandmother of Angela (Jeff) Blackley, Steven (Teresa) Manna, Kimberley (Jason) Barbarino, Jason (Nicole), and Jeffrey (Jaime Fulmines) Cunningham; and 6 great grandchildren; sister of Marilyn Thompson, and the late Thelma (Robert) Daunce, Alice (Roy) Baker, Pat (Harry) Payne, Jean (Vince) Bowes, and Sue (Howard) Chadderdon-Slater; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Sunday 1-3 and 5-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Monday at 1 PM.
