Obituary of Jeanne E. Behm
Jeanne E. Behm, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Niagara Hospice House. Born August 21, 1920 to William and Henrietta Martin, Jeanne was a lifelong resident of Lockport, NY. She enjoyed spending 62 summers at her seasonal home in the 1000 Islands, where this recent summer, she celebrated her 102nd birthday. Jeanne treasured her many lifelong friends and sadly watched as those numbers dwindled, but always happily recalled their wonderful shared memories with her ever sharp mind.
She is predeceased by her husband Delbert Behm, sisters Lorraine Cavill, Dorothy Desemo, and brother Carl Martin. Jeanne was the mother of Anne Bannister of Fairport, NY and David (late Nancy) Behm of Lockport, NY; grandmother of Alison (Kevin) Trapper, Lindsay (Michael) Swanson, and Christopher (Amanda) Bannister; great grandmother of Emma, Sean, Molly, and Patrick Trapper, Dylan and Ryan Swanson, and Evan and James Bannister.
The family would like to thank the volunteers of Lockport Meals-On-Wheels and friends Fran Schyve, Joan Eickmyer, and Larry Lochner, all of whom provided the loving support that allowed Jeanne to remain living independently in her Lockport home.
Services will be held at a future date at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations to Niagara Hospice or Lockport Trinity Lutheran Church would be appreciated. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Jeanne Behm, please visit our Tree Store
