Obituary of Sandra Kinisky (Kane)

Sandra L. Kinisky (Kane) passed away January 30, 2023 peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. She was born June 6, 1939 in Lockport, New York to Victor and Margaret Truax and Granddaughter to Theodore and Katie Kagels Sandy graduated from Lockport Senior High School in 1956 and had 6 children with Daniel Kane. She was employed at Lockport Memorial Hospital as the Director of Admissions for several years before she retired. She enjoyed many warm winters in Florida with her husband Jim. Sandy had a great love for her cats especially Max and Missy.

Sandy was preceded in death by the father of her children Daniel V. Kane, her husband of 35 years James R Kinisky and her son in law Dana (Patty) Tackett and step son Steve Kinisky.  She is survived by her 6 children Deborah Aja Kane, Susie (Herb) Betts, Jimmy (Renee) Kane, Joey (Janet) Kane, Patty Tackett, Cindy (Jeff) Noseworthy , 14 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren and her step children Dot (Bill) Grimaldi, Bill Kinisky, Don Kinisky, Laurie Kinisky, Julia (Jeff) Varney and Bruce (Tina) Kinisky with 17 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. Also her Life Long Best Friend Sue Strassel.

Sandy was lucky to have a great team of people to help with her care including Hospice, Gigi, Hiawatha as well as her special neighbors Pam and Craig Paas and her long time hairdresser Kathy Weaver.

Private Services are being held at Prudent and Kandt Funeral Home.  In Lieu of Flowers, the family would like people to do a random act of kindness in Sandra's name.
