Obituary of Karen S. Mrowka

Karen S. Mrowka passed away January 25, 2023 in Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo. Born September 23, 1963 in Newfane she was the daughter of Ward and Carol (Weaver) Benedict. Karen worked for Empower in Sanborn where she was a teachers aide. She enjoyed attending church, playing board and card games, baking, cleaning, going to the casino, taking walks, and especially loved spending time with her family.

Karen is survived by her husband David Mrowka; children Heather Cousins, Robert Cousins, Clara Mrowka, Timothy Mrowka, Jeremiah Mrowka, Simone (Joseph) Fudella, and Megan (Geoff) Thomas; grandchildren Zachary, Alexander, Avaleigh, Cameron, Kendall, Natalia, and Hunter; siblings Carl Williams, Paul Williams Linda (David) Jones, Kevin (Jennifer) Benedict, Bob (Chrissy) Benedict, Laura (Randy) Higgins, Brian (Patty) Benedict, and the late Mark (Kimberly) Benedict, Sr.; in-laws Frank (Linda) Mrowka, Sissy (Earle) Ridgeway, Pat (Tom) Thurston, Su (Mark) Wolcott, Jim (MaryAnn) Mrowka, John (Amanda) Mrowka, Donna (late Mike) Little, Mary (Brian Falsioni) Mrowka, Anna (Joe) Summa, and the late Barbara Mrowka; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Monday, January 30^th from 4-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 31^st at 10 AM in Warrens Corners United Methodist Church, 5293 Stone Rd., Lockport.
