Obituary of Kevin A. Day
Kevin Day, 69, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.
Born September 12, 1953 in Lockport, he was the son of Donald and Betty Day.
Kevin earned a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Rochester Institute of Technology. and taught at RIT, Niagara County Community College, and Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. He last worked as a Senior Computer Programmer/Analyst at SUNY College at Brockport retiring in 2013.
He participated in and enjoyed playing sports all his life with his favorite sports being racquetball and golf. In his youth he was in the Boy Scouts and played on Little League baseball and YMCA basketball teams which were coached by his father. He had been a 25-year member of the Lockport YMCA and participated in local golf and bowling leagues, triathlons, and canoe races in the 1980s.
Kevin most enjoyed the time spent with family and friends along with his hobbies of computing, home electronics and music.
Burial will be in Huskey Cemetery on Thursday, May 18th at 11 AM. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to a local Lockport charity or the charity of one's choice.
