Mrs. Giazzon was like a summer mom for me. Growing up in Buffalo, I spent the summers at my Aunt Laura's house in Lockport on Niagara Street and a good portion of the day was spent at the Giazzon household. She treated me like part of the family - feeding me, allowing me to clean up and even reprimanding me when necessary. I loved making her laugh! Those were the best memories of my childhood. I love her and will miss her dearly.

We had many trips over to Aunt Eda’s house on sunset drive when we were younger with my mom (janet) and aunt (jane) and with all of us cousins. Aunt Eda & Uncle Ben would always greet us at the garage door, always smiling. We loved looking at uncle Ben’s car in the garage, how cool it was to us kids. I remember comparing it to my brother’s matchbox cars. I can remember the exact smell of her soup she would have ready to go every time we were there and her famous bread that we would beg our mom to ask her for more of! We used to love playing in the yard, especially the “climbing tree” which eventually was cut down, but we would spend all day playing in it & running through the garden. Before leaving, we always got to enjoy some home made Italian cookies. So delicious! We’ll miss them both dearly, but happy to know they’re together again, leaving everyone with very fond memories.
