Obituary of Jacque Eckhardt Jr.

Jacque E. Eckhardt, Jr. passed away May 13, 2011 in Niagara Hospice House. Born February 7, 1950 in Lockport he was the son of Jacque E. and Anna (nee Lubs) Eckhardt, Sr. Jacque served in the US Army from 1970 to 1971 earning the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal W/2 Stars, Good Conduct Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal W/60 Device. Upon his discharge he went to work Delphi Harrison Radiator where he was a Die Set Operator. Jacque retired on June 1, 2002. He was an avid reader, coin and stamp collector, animal lover, bird watcher, fisherman, enjoyed gardening and was the Family Champion Rock Skipper. Jacque is survived by his wife Barbara S. (nee Humble) Eckhardt of Lockport; father of Robyn Eckhardt and Kristine (Francois) Mevs both of Lockport; grandfather of Meghan Watier and Ethan Mevs; brother of George "Hi" (Barbara) Eckhardt of Palmyra, NY, Sandra (Robert) White, Lela (William) Lathrop both of Lockport, Deborah (Robert) Harris of Gasport and Jillary Eckhardt of Perrysburg, NY; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Sunday evening 7 to 9 PM and Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, at Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 PM.
