Obituary of William E. Mangan

William E. Mangan passed away January 2, 2023 in Buffalo General Medical Center.  Born September 23, 1945 in Berne, NY he was the son of Martin J. and Marion L. (Deibel) Mangan.  William served in the US Marine Corp from 1968 to 1970 being awarded the National Defense Service Medal and Vietnamese Service Medal.  He worked for Orleans Correctional Facility in Albion, NY where he was a corrections officer.   He enjoyed playing computer games, football, country music, and old cars.

William is survived his wife of 54 years Barbara (Lexner) Mangan; children David (Denise) Mangan, Eric (Marie) Mangan, Patrick (Angela) Mangan, Shawn (Samantha) Mangan, William Brindle, and Lisa Morrison; grandchildren Megan McKee, Codi McKee, Dillon Mangan, and Devan Mangan; great grandchild Avah; siblings Paul (Joanne) Mangan, late Raymond (Rose) Mangan, late James Mangan, Martin (Michelle) Mangan, Virginia (Ray) Houghtling, Mary Mangan, Robert Mangan, and late Marilyn Mangan; also several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Thursday, Jan. 5th from 4-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Jan. 6th at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport.  In lieu of flowers donations to Niagara Hospice would be appreciated.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
