Obituary of Michael Dewey

Michael J. Dewey passed away Tuesday May 10, 2011, in Buffalo. Born May 18, 1963, in Lockport, he was the son of Patricia A. (nee Conners) Dewey of Lockport and the late James G. Dewey. Michael is also survived by his daughters Kelsey Lynne Dewey and Kaley Michelle Dewey, he was the beloved brother of Megan M. Dewey and the late Timothy R. Dewey and David G. Dewey; the former husband of Kira Lynne Dewey. He is also survived by his grandmother, Hilda Dewey and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Michael served in the US Navy from 1981 to 1987 as an aviation specialist, he graduated from Buffalo State College with a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. Michael worked as a Product Engineer for the Robert Bosch Corporation, retiring in 2006. He donated his time frequently to the Lockport Cares Homeless Shelter and the Good News Jail and Prison Ministry. Michael had a strong faith and was a member of the Lockport Christian Alliance Church. He was active yearly in the MS Walk with his family, he also enjoyed riding his bike and as a devoted father, he loved spending time with his daughters.
Friends may call Friday 3 to 7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, NY. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday morning at 11 AM, in the Lockport Alliance Church, 555 Davison Road, Lockport, NY 14094. Memorials to the Church, Multiple Sclerosis Association, Lockport Cares Homeless Shelter or the Good News Jail and Prison Ministry, would be appreciated by the family.
