Obituary of Helen Farrell Proietti

Helen Farrell Proietti, 91, passed away December 15, 2022 in Mount St. Mary’s Hospital.  Born October 24, 1931 in Lockport.  She was the loving daughter of the George and Katherine (Fiedler) Archie.  Helen was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy and St. Joseph’s Buisiness School.  She was a member of St. John the Baptist Churchwhere she was a past member of both the Our Ladies of Charity and Altar & Rosary Society.  Helen enjoyed gardening, refinishing furniture, and especially spending time with her family. 

Surviving are four caring sons, Mark (Eileen) Farrell, Dr. Patrick (Anne) Farrell, DVM, Dr. Paul Farrell, DVM, and Thomas (Lisa) Proietti; one daughter Denise (late James) McKnight.  She is also survived by one sister, Teresa (late Matthew) Hoenig, one bother William (Barbara) Archie, and sister-in-law Martha Archie.  Also eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  Helen was predeceased by her first husband Francis Farrell in 1978 and by her second husband Louis Proietti 2010.  Also predeceased by two brothers John Archie and Robert Archie.

Relatives and friends may call Sunday, Dec. 18^th from 1-4 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Dec. 19^th at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport.  Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
