Obituary of David George Scranton
David G. Scranton of Lockport, NY passed away December 3, 2022. Born July 21, 1954, in Buffalo, to Irene (France) Scranton and the late George Scranton. David earned his bachelor’s degree from Canisius College and was co-owner of Scranton’s Thruway Builders Supply in Depew, NY. He was a member of the Ten X Shooting Club, enjoyed boating, camping, targeting shooting, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and loved ones.
Besides his mother, David is survived by his wife of 47 years Kathleen (Trampert) Scranton; children Scott (Jenn) Scranton, Mark (Julie) Scranton, Susan (Joshua) Tarbay, and Jeffrey (Lisa) Scranton; twelve grandchildren; siblings Christine (Patrick) Sullivan, Nancy (Peter) Militello, and Douglas (Nancy) Scranton; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, Dec. 8th from 4-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Dec. 9th at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
