Obituary of Betty L. Killion

Betty L. Killion, 87, passed away November 28, 2022, peacefully at home with her daughter, Donna, by her side.  Betty was born on May 22, 1935 in Wilson, NY, the daughter of Leo and Elizabeth (Barbas) Colton. Betty worked at Chet’s Dog House, Danny Sheehan’s, and until retirement, worked for the City of Lockport as a crossing guard for over 30 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Alphonso J. Killion (Jan 10, 2000). They married on April 27, 1957.

Betty is survived by her children David (Valerie) Killion, Debby (John) Farfaglia, Denise (John) Mele, and Donna Killion; grandchildren Brad (Audrey), Marc, Eric, and Brian (Emily) Farfaglia, Jonathan, and Nikki Mele, John and Natalie Killion; great grandchildren, Sophia and Quinn Farfaglia; siblings Naomi Hulme, Virginia Swan, Richard Williams, and the late Leo, Dora, John , Andrew, David, and Katherine Colton, Julia Gutka, Louise Kolpack, Martha Hy, and Edward Schuler. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

 Betty adored children, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.  In addition to her love for the holidays, she enjoyed country music, baking, crafts, painting ceramics, making porcelain dolls, and walking with her beloved Yorkie, Cocoa.  The family would like to thank Niagara Hospice for their support.

Relatives and friends may call Monday, Dec 12th from 11-1 PM with services following at 1:00 PM all in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Visit pruddenandkandt.com
