Alice Brennan Obituary

Alice M. Brennan (nee LaRoach) entered into rest on Saturday, August 29tn in Niagara Hospice House surrounded by her family. She was born December 26, 1920 to the late H Wilberton (Doc) and Gladys Bull LaRoach, Alice was a lifelong resident of Lockport, attended local schools and graduated in 1940 from Lockport Senior High School. Alice maintained close contact with her fellow classmates and was an active member of the Class of 40 Reunion Committee. Alice was baptized and confirmed at Christ Episcopal Church and continued an active involvement until the time of her illness. Alice was an18 year employee of Unit Number One Federal Credit Union, retiring in 1988. She had many fond memories from her previous employment at The Mohican, Williams Brothers Department Store and the Prospect and Prentice Comer Grocery. Alice's special passion was her family.


Alice was a devoted mother to Mary Brennan-Taylor (John Taylor) and beloved grandmother of Ethan (Kelly), John Jr., Allison and Marshall Taylor and Great Grandmother to Ethan Jr, Austin and-Ashton Taylor. She is also survived by her cherished nephews Mark (Cheryl), Kurt (Nancy) and Paul (Carol) LaRoach. She was predeceased by her parents, brother, Wilberton (Doc) Jr. and sister, Betty Jane LaRoach.


Friends may call on Thursday, Sept. 3rd and Friday, Sept. 4th from 2-4 & 7-9 at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home242 Genesee St. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 5th at 12 Noon in Christ Episcopal Church, Rochester Road & Fieldcrest Dr. Burial will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
