Obituary of John M. Archie

John M. Archie, of Lockport, passed away September 11, 2022, beloved husband of Martha (Fraser) Archie.  He passed away suddenly at Niagara Hospice House.  John was the son of the late George and Katherine Archie.  He served in the US Navy during the Korean War, and was a member of the VFW and Elks Lodge.  John enjoyed square dancing, fishing, and building the cottage on Lake Ontario.  He was employed with Harrison Radiator as a Tool Room Supervisor, even after becoming a manufacturing engineer, retiring in 1998. 

Besides his wife, John is survived by his children Michael (Sonia) Archie, Steven Archie, and the late James Archie; grandchildren Nicholas, Steven, Brandyn, and Wyatt; siblings Helen (late Louis) Proietti, Teresa (late Matthew) Hoenig, William (Barbara) Archie, and the late Robert Archie; also several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visitation Thursday, September 15th from 4-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 16th at 10 AM in St. Brendans on the Lake, 3455 Ewings Rd., Newfane.  Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
