Obituary of Doris E. Winter

Doris E. Winter passed away July 31, 2022.  Born December 16, 1925 in Clarence, NY she is the daughter of George and Frances Engasser.  Doris was a lifetime farmer working alongside her husband for more than 50 years on their farm.  She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and gardening.  Doris was predeceased by her husband Edward J. Winter Jr. on October 5, 1994. 

Doris is survived by her children Mary Ellen (Daniel) Leffler, Lori (Howard) Dean, Edward (Tina) Winter, and Carolyn (Richard) Wagner; grandchildren Kirk (Shannon) Dean, Eric (Kelly) Dean, Keith Wagner, Edward Winter, and Terri Ann Fink; great grandchildren Chloe, Max, and Jack Dean, Jacob, Evan, and Brooklyn Dean, Andrea Spink, Elizabeth and Eleanor Winter, and James and Emma Fink;  predeceased by siblings Eleanor (late George) Gertstenmeyer, Kenneth (late Hilda) Engasser, Ethel (late Gene) Jahreis, Emilie (late Willie) Fitzner, George (late Marion) Engasser, Norman Engasser, and Richard Engasser;  also survived by sister-in-law Dorothy Engasser and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Thursday, August 4^th from 4-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated Friday, August 5^th at 10 AM in St. Augustine RC Church, 8700 Goodrich Rd., Clarence.  Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.  Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
