We are very saddened by the death of my aunt Sophie, who was the last of the three siblings to return home to God.
In our telephone contacts, which we maintained regularly at Easter, Christmas and on her birthday in October, I was always impressed by how much she still knew about her home town of Roßdorf despite her long absence and how interested she is in current developments in the town was. What was fascinating was her ability to continue speaking in the Roßdorf dialect after the English "Hello", as if she still lived there and had never left Roßdorf. My wife and I also look back with gratitude on Sophie's visit for our wedding in calendar year 1998 and also on our 1999 vacation to Lockport where we had the privilege of meeting her new home.
May she rest in peace with her siblings Alfred and Anton and her parents Franz and Magdalena, protected by God.
