Obituary of Irma Muchow

Irma Faye Muchow passed away Monday April 25, 2011 at Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born December 29, 1925 in Tarboro, NC, the daughter of the late William and Mamie Coburn Grimmer. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and Christian. Faye was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, where she was a visiting Deacon and was a member of the Red Hats.
Faye is survived by her husband John W. Muchow of Lockport, her children Rebecca (Patrick) Hagan of Lake Alfred, Fl., Peggy (John) Torrelli and William (Teresa) Muchow, both of Lockport and Martha (David) Glaser of Lakewood, CO, as well as her 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was the sister of Louise Mac Duffie of Batavia, NY and Melba Pomante of Tarboro, NC. Faye is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. Services will be held Thursday morning at 10 AM in Zion Lutheran Church, 9535 Clarence Center Rd, Clarence Center, NY 14032. Memorials to the church would be appreciated by the family. Interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Clarence Center, NY.
